Overview

We take kids’ safety seriously. We have volunteer security teams at both campuses who monitor hallways, ensuring only authorized people are in our children’s rooms. They are connected via two-way radios and you’ll find them in red t-shirts marked SECURITY. Kids are only released to a family member/guardian with a pickup tag with matching ID number as the child's name tag, which is randomly generated each week.

There is also a volunteer medical team made up of medical professionals on radio in the event we need more than a band-aid!

Volunteer Requirements

Every Eastview Kids volunteer must complete DCFS training to recognize child abuse, pass a national background check and provide two references. We set a high bar, because kids are that important. For more details on our policies and procedures regarding how we safeguard children, see our Child Protection Policy.
